It is widely known that sandstorm can easily move sand and dust into air, then cause an air pollution. Also on the healthy aspect, sand storms have been shown to increase the spread of disease across the globe. Furthermore, sand storms cause soil loss from the dry lands, and worse, they preferentially remove organic matter and the nutrient-rich lightest particles, thereby reducing agricultural productivity.
For the several hazards are arose from sand storms, the current situation get worse because of little actions have been taken. Even in some area, some informal groups start to plant trees in bared hills. Or, the governments begin to announce to arouse the common conscience of environment protection.
But in my opinions, these are not far from enough. Therefore, the following actions should be taken to reduce or eliminate the effects. Firstly, the deserts or dryland should be planted to minimize the contact of wind and dust, which is the resource of sandstorm. Secondly, the healthy organizations or governments should take actions to advocate the potential diseases spread by sandstorm so that the people can use certain prevention to avoid them. Moreover, use medicine to cure the epidemics. The last, the government should invest money on the agriculture.It will not only compensate the lost of the farm, but also can reinforce the foundation of irrigation facilities to water the sand and dryland, which are the origin of sandstorms.

I am living in northeast China. There are always sandstorms in spring here.

Sandstorms cause so much trouble in people's lives. As there are sand and dust in the sky, people cannot see things clearly in distance, so they drive slowly to avoid accidents. And the dusty air could harm people's health when they breath or if their skin is exposed. Besides, the sand and dust usually dirty people's clothes.

In order to improve the current situation, effective measures should be taken. The key is protecting forests and planting trees. With the forests destroyed in northeast China, the sandstorms become severer. We have to plant more trees and stop excessive deforestation. Meanwhile, things made from trees should be used less. For example, we'd better not use disposable chopsticks.

In my opinion, if everyone hold the idea that protecting the environment is to protect ourselves, the world will be better.
