Recently, a discussion about whether to make friends online has been held in our school. The pros and cons are as follows.
About 68.8% of the students agree with the idea of making friends online. They think they are able to have more friends, either from China or from foreign countries. The more friends they have, the more they can communicate with one another, which is beneficial to their foreign language studies, especially when they have more e-pals from the USA or the UK.
However, 31.2% of them say no to making friends online. One of the reasons is that it is a waste of time. Because of this, their studies are affected. What's worse, maybe they will be taken in because they are too young to tell the bad from the good.
In my opinion, we should concentrate our time on our studies. We ought to spend less time chatting with our e-friends.
