I agree with you that it is really important for us to improve our ability to communicate in English.Here are some of my suggestions on how to go about it .
Firstly,I think ,you should learn more about English speaking countries so that you can make yourself more interested in studying English.In addition, when others talk about something about English-speaking countries,you can join in and share their own ideas.
Secondly,you should try to develop a sense of humor!Tjis can ensure that you have more fun when talking with others.
Thirdly,you should learn to use body language properly and keep lively when communicating with others. Sometimes you may find that you can’t express yourself clearly,in which case body language can help you a lot.
