Beijing is China's capital city and it is situated in the northern part of China with an area of 16808 square miles. It has a population of over 1.7million people and this number is growing each year. Beijing has many popular tourist attraction places such as the Imperial Palace of Qing Dynasty, Yi He Garden, Temple of Heavn... the list goes on and these are just few of the famous places. Beijing has a convenient transportation system with many Public bus, taxi and underground railway lines that tourist could choose to travel from. Beijing has a nice weather, with distinct four seasons such as abundunt amount of sunshine in Summer, enough rain in other times. Currenlty, Beijing is a neat city marked by skysckrapers and its High Technology products is famous iaround the world. A recent global event that was held in Beijing was the 29th Olympic game that happend on the 8th of August 2008. It was known to be the best Olympic game in its history.

Qian Xue Shen was a scientist who made significant contributions to the missiles and space programs developments in China. He was born in Chinese Shanghai in 1911 but passed away in 2009. Mr. Shen is no doubt the father of Chinese Roketry.

Mr.Shen attened the Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He was a hard studing student and has a persistent personality who's character of perseverence helped him to overcome obstacles and finally reached his success.

Mr. Shen's major great achievements include completed the plan for making the Don Feng missile in 1958, had successfully used the Long March Rocket to launch the Shenzhou V Mission and was known as the father of the Chinese Rockery and the 100th people who moved China in the year of 2009.

Mr.Shen is a great scientist whose great contribution has helped his country China to develop our missile systems, and helped our country to grow and prosper into the 3rd largest country in the World. He should be appraised and remembered by every Chinese people.
